Abstract

The northern shoreline of the Solway Firth (SW Scotland) is well established as being
a region containing a wealth of evidence for changing sea-levels since the end of the last glaciation circa 10,000 years ago (see Jardine, 1975). The aim of this thesis is to reconstruct Flandrian relative sea level changes in the Cree estuary region, in the western Solway Firth.
