Abstract

DAZZLE: A Reassembly of Bodies is a multi-dimensional choreography and immersive installation combining performance, virtual reality and fashion created by Gibson, Martelli, Pollmann and Roth

A dance for VR with shapeshifting optical forms gives audiences layered viewpoints into virtual and physical space, transforming the venue. Step onto the stage to watch, move, and experience dance in novel ways.
Influenced by the early 20th century Dazzle camouflage and Vorticist artworks, A Re-Assembly of Bodies evokes a visceral response to dazzle. Drawing from the rhythms and colours of naval camouflage, the DAZZLE Collective designed unique, sustainable, non- gendered outfits for visitors.
