In defining excellence, Sandeep Gakhal explores definitional variations and scrutinizes international examples for similarities and differences. She critically examines the constructs of a number of international frameworks alongside staff and student perceptions of teaching excellence, describing the tensions that exist between staff and student ideas of proxy measures of teaching excellence.
