Abstract
This book chapter reports on a photovoice study conducted with doctoral students in the UK during the COVID 19 lockdown period. The study aimed to 'materialise' doctoral student writing by exploring writing as a posthuman practice. The chapter describes and evaluates the methodology and offers advice for other researchers on using photovoice during times of crisis.
