Abstract
This is a large one person exhibition at MAC ( Midlands Arts Centre) Birmingham between September and November 2019. The exhibition will comprise a new body of work around research themes of the possibilities of representational painting, particularly with reference to images of the urban realm, time and immanence as expressed through the painted image.
The venue is very highly visited and audience figures should be in the tens of thousands. In collaboration with the venue an application is being made to Arts Council England, and it is hoped a new book/catalogue will be published to accompany the exhibition.
Possibilites fro touring the exhibition are being explored, with the Lanchester Research Gallery in Coventry University as one of the venues.
