Abstract

The paper presents a review concerning the action of ultrasounds upon chemical reagents, sonochemistry. A short theoretical part is presented to facilitate the understanding of chemical effects of ultrasounds. Homogeneous and heterogeneous media are briefly discussed as well as the specific action of ultrasounds in these media.
