Tuneable radio frequency filtering using linearly chirped fibre grating

Abstract

We have demonstrated a tuneable optical radio frequency notch filter using a linearly chirped in-fibre Bragg grating. It provides low loss and wide band tuning of the null frequencies in the filter's microwave response with all optical tuneability.
