Abstract

As a Dance Anthropologist, I use dance as a creative method to bring participants to tell their stories. This collective and participatory method, based on Research-Creation and Practice- Based Research, involves participants since the beginning of the research process. Dance creation results from a co-designed framework, which expresses voices of minorities. The ethnography becomes a gesture of care and attention, in an attempt to revalorize disregarded subjectivities by Capitalism. In this talk, I will present my dance method, which can be used in various research topics, and which illustrates a version of Engaged Anthropology.
