Abstract
The H2020 TInnGO (Transport Innovation Gender Observatory) project (2018-2021) addressed the topic of ‘demographic change and the participation of women in transport’ (MG-4.3-2018). Its main objective was to create a framework and mechanisms for a sustainable game change in European transport through a transformative strategy of gender and diversity sensitive smart mobility. To achieve this, the project used a distributed hub and spoke model, with 10 national hubs acting as small autonomous Living Labs engaging with citizens and members of the local transport business ecosystem on local issues, developing gender and diversity action plans, collecting mobility data and raising awareness of gender issues. Even though severely restricted by covid lockdowns, each hub fulfilled its objectives. This paper describes the challenges the hubs faced, their individual outputs and contributions.
