Abstract

Reviews key features of the US system of offering financial rewards for whistleblowing, particularly in the financial sector. Compares the EU approach to whistleblowing, highlights the limited references it makes to financial incentives, and outlines the benefits of establishing a system of such rewards. Discusses whether such a regime is likely to be implemented in the EU.
