Abstract

Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) as a tool for achieving better outcomes for the Thames Gateway communities and for Government’s Thames Gateway Programme. Therefore, this EIA goes beyond the statutory requirements to look at race, gender and disability: it has been extended to examine issues of age, faith, sexual orientation and aspects of social inclusion and exclusion such as worklessness, basic skills and empowerment.
