Examines the reservations procedure under the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women 1979. Considers universalist and relativist arguments on reservations. Outlines the Convention's obligations and some of the reservations that have been entered. Considers the Convention's shortcomings and proposals for reform.
