    Abstract

A multidisciplinary site-specific performance project involving choreography, architecture, dance making, improvisation, real-time composition, audience/crowd choreography, Installation as scenery, oral history, comparative methodologies, pedagogical approaches, performative games and creative spatial exercises in dance and choreography. A bid book project for the European Capital of Culture - Pafos2017, in the context of the formal programme of events in Paphos, Cyprus, during the year 2017. The site specific performances happened on the 12th & 13th July 2017, and we had ca. 300 audience members follow us each evening. “A different story is hidden in every space, house, square and street. The town of Paphos and its urban fabric has been revamped, creating a hybrid space, a utopian Paphos, with fragmented memories that still seem to haunt it. Selected places in the town centre become the source of creation for a group of professional artists from various disciplines and different countries who come together to blend their knowledge and artistry in contemporary dance performances. Each performance has the target to promote the idiosyncrasies of each specific location, creating a stage that hosts works inspired from itself and invites the audience to engage, on a trail of performative games through Ktima.”
