Abstract

We’re passionate after 20 years of working in, around and with social value about its transformational potential - as a way of identifying and valuing things and outcomes that would otherwise be ignored. Our experience in commissioning is that social value not only offers a means to account for things that would otherwise be ignored, but also has the potential to drive better and more inclusive outcomes.
However, we may need to change the way in which we commission or run our organisation to achieve this positive change and maximise social value.
