Abstract
As a result of the symposium on colonial literature held at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Seville in March 2015, professor Trinidad Barrera gives us two essential publications for the study of two works so general ignored: The Virgin's Servants without original sin (1620) by the presbyter Francisco Bramón and La portentosa Vida de the Death (1792) of the Franciscan Joaquín Bolaños. The first one these two publications is an edition of Bolaños's text, based on the Guadalupe manuscript of the El Library College of Mexico and the prince edition of 1792, thanks to which Barrera offers us the opportunity to read a novel so far of very difficult access. The second publication, a small volume that collects part of the papers read in Seville, consists of three articles on the work of Bramón, two on the Bolaños and a coda dedicated to the study of a third work related to the subject of the vision of death and, equally, little known: The funeral honors to a bitch , attributed to the Cleric José Miguel Guridi y Alcocer.
