Abstract

This piece examined the developing situation in Kiruna. This concerned SCoPEx (part of the Harvard research group) injecting aerosol particles into the atmosphere around Kiruna. The Sami Council heavily objected to this experiment as it would be occurring on traditional Sami territory. The analysis examined the situation and why the Harvard group failed to appropriate engage. In light of this, the piece suggest some potential ways forward to resolve future conflicts.
