Local cast of women
25 local women from Bath performed a 15 min work four times in a day in Bath’s historic Circus. Coupled with this performance ten local men performed Melt Down. The two free outdoor performances took place throughout one day in Bath International Festival. Commissioned by Bath Dance. Rising was create especially for the unique circular architecture of the Circus with the women dancing in the circle of green open space with in the trees encircled by the road.
Rising is one of a series of projects Rosemary is creating and research with all women casts, beginning with Square Dances in Gordon Square in 2011 for 100 women.
