Abstract

David Hoile is a legacy of the Cold war. Schooled in Rhodesia, he left at independence for Britain and has since specialised in right-wing causes: the Contras in Nicaragua; UNITA in Angola; Renamo in Mozambique and Inkatha in South Africa.
