Abstract

A comprehensive assessment of Brazil's engagement with Africa was overdue. This edited volume provides a ‘sober’ assessment of Brazil's ties with Africa since the 1960s and helpfully assesses the future direction of travel of this partnership. It largely reflects a Brazilian perspective, since three of the four contributors are Brazilian academics: there is no African voice unfortunately.
