Abstract

During 2022/2023 a collaborative working group met to develop a new/updated career framework for nurses in acute medicine, led by the Society for Acute Medicine (SAM) nurse council representative. The first stage of this work involved a rapid review of evidence to strengthen understanding of the issues and to develop the work. The aim is to understand the barriers and facilitators to knowledge and skills acquisition for career progression in AMUs.
