Abstract
The quality of drug information has a substantial influence on the success of medical treatment. Whilst quality assurance of pharmaceutical products is thoroughly regulated, there are still substantial loopholes in the process of generating, processing and presenting the required drug information. Practical methods of quality assurance in the editing process of scientific databases are shown, alongside current quality-related initiatives and standards in the area of healthcare information. The aim is to reduce the risks and side effects caused by poor quality drug information.
