Abstract

To review the current state and experience of the right to freedom of expression in the UK •To reaffirm the essence of Article 10 rights •To provide a forum and constructive space to discuss public concern about the threats that the new definition of extremism poses for Article 10 rights in higher education and religion •To enable debate and generate new ideas for addressing the tensions arising from efforts to balance liberty and security.
