Abstract
This special edition of Media History has its roots in a conference held in Liverpool in the autumn of 2017. Organised jointly by Coventry and John Moores Universities, the event attracted 18 speakers from five countries delivering papers on the subject Provincial Newspapers: Lessons from History. This is a selection of articles from that conference.
