Abstract
Industry 4.0 is revolutionizing manufacturing through digitalization and automation, driven by technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics. This study explores the profound implications of Industry 4.0 on the future supply chain management workforce, with a particular focus on the evolving skill demands for future graduates. Employing a systematic literature review methodology, the research examines how the integration of Industry 4.0 and AI is reshaping job roles and skill requirements, impacting supply chain management labor markets globally. Key findings highlight Industry 4.0's potential to create high-skilled jobs while automating routine tasks, thereby increasing the need for advanced technical competencies in data analytics, AI programming, and robotics management. However, concerns arise over potential job displacement and a widening skills gap, underscoring the necessity for proactive educational and policy interventions. This study contributes to the field by offering a comprehensive analysis of Industry 4.0's dual impact, emphasizing the critical role of continuous skills development and adaptive educational strategies in preparing the future workforce. These insights are vital for practitioners aiming to effectively leverage AI-driven advancements, ensuring economic growth and competitiveness in the manufacturing sector.
