    Abstract

This research developed a methodology for optimising the stormwater modelling of urban areas using Design of Experiments (DOE), and tested it through a case study of a catchment located in the city of Espoo (Finland), which validated its applicability under real conditions. The use of DOE enabled identifying the most influential parameters on catchment discharge, which were those related to its imperviousness, and maximised the fit to its observed outflow.
