Online teaching for Music Technology in the age of lockdown

Abstract

Modern technology slowly became an important part of Music and music technology education for both further education and higher education level. Electrical hardware, software and hybrid systems nowadays equipped most classroom and are presented in major institutions Many different hybrid systems, developed lately make music production and the study of music technology easier and more meaningful. Music technology that includes production, recording and performance and is becoming more informal learning. The paper aims to look at the state of the music technology education for both FE and HE as well as looking at online teaching method currently used in the Uk and propose solutions to improve online learning for both Music and music technology for both FE and HE. We will be looking at the example in use in music technology education in both the United States and the Uk and conclude the necessity to change education to include both onsite and online education.
