My Tragic Defeat: How I Learned to Love to Lose at Boardgames

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

I have always loved boardgames. From my first games of Monopoly and Risk, to Axis and Allies, Game of Thrones, and Twilight Imperium, I have shared experiences with other players who become allies and enemies over the board, but always friends when it’s put away.

This story focuses on player verses player boardgames, examining why they are important life lessons and an essential part of my gaming experience. I love to play hard, risk everything and lose. I can walk away with the story of my tragic defeat.
