Abstract
MRC Phind
Men’s health is a public health issue. Men with intellectual disability (ID) in particular experience more physical health conditions than the general male population. Current mainstream health promotion materials for men are inaccessible and heavily ‘stigmatised’. We have consulted with a user group of men with ID to help us develop a set of hand held health information cards accessible to men with ID. We intend to develop this into a user sensitive web based health intervention, specifically targeted at men with (ID).
