abstract = "A multi-corrugated dual-beam backward wave oscillator is designed for sub-millimeter wave generation at 0.34 THz. Six parallel rows of square metallic corrugations are used on the top and bottom of a rectangular waveguide for the design of the slow-wave structure. The high-frequency performance is evaluated in terms of dispersion and interaction impedance, with the structure demonstrating an interaction impedance of 0.8 Ω at 0.34 THz. To validate the design, a 0.34 THz backward wave oscillator circuit is designed, comprising 150 periods. The simulation results indicate S21 values exceeding -0.5 dB and S11 values lower than -15 dB across a wide frequency range. Simulations of the beam-wave interaction, using 30kV,30 mA dual electron beams and a 0.3 T magnetic field for focusing, reveal that the proposed BWO generates an average output power of 10 W at 0.34 THz. Moreover, the frequency tuning range of the proposed design is 79GHz.",
