Although many contemporary artists reference the home, this is not a theme that is heavily researched. Although making, skill and collaboration are important, contentious aspects in contemporary art, again this is not over rehearsed.
In order to write this there was a significant amount of primary and secondary research undertaken that includes email correspondence between curators and symposium discussions. (Ethics approved.) This is a rigorous debate that has much new material.
