    Abstract

An analysis to hydrogen storage technologies, with major focus on the solid-state hydrogen storage is presented. A discussion on the physicochemical and thermodynamic aspects of the metal hydride formation is introduced, and the most common metal hydride compounds are analyzed. The necessity for the development of an accurate numerical analysis to describe the storage/release of hydrogen in metal hydrides and the establishment of an effective heat management is also explained and discussed.
