    A twin screen video and performative wall drawing by J. Ball selected and highly commended by the National Film and Video Umbrella and artist/researcher Prof. Ravi Deepres for the Rugby Open group exhibition at the Rugby Art Gallery, UK, 12th Sept 2015- 9th Jan 2016. The exhibition celebrated the borough of Rugby’s link to Rugby Football as the birthplace of the game and included contemporary artworks made in response to this theme. In addition to the inclusion of the twin screen video artwork, Ball also created a scale drawing during a live performance at the private view and presented a lecture titled ‘Contemporary art: shifting encounters with cherry pickers and goal posts’ as part of the gallery events programme. The performance took place on 11th Sept 2015 and the talk on 6th October.
