    Abstract

In recent years, due to its rapid economic growth, China has become the largest single source of international students within the UK HE market. UK universities are facing severe international competition from USA, Germany, France, and Australia and local competition within the UK and need to seek ways to maintain and boost recruitment.
This paper discusses the possible approaches whereby UK universities can strengthen their relationships with Chinese education agents and therefore enhance the University’s likelihood of being short-listed by the potential students.
