Abstract
When I was at school I used to count down the days to the long summer holidays, but in breadline Britain huge numbers of parents approach the school break knowing that ‘holiday hunger’ awaits their children. In the sixth wealthiest country on earth, why do four million children go hungry during their holidays, and how can we respond more effectively to this scandal?
