Abstract

Single women form a significant part of the elderly population in Germany and are most characteristic of old people. Two-thirds of people over 60 years of age in Germany are women. Numbers of single women over 60 are increasing elsewhere in Europe. This article asks how age affects them. The article studies the living conditions of older women in Germany. -from English summary
