Abstract
The history of scientific models of memory poses a choice between focusing on mechanisms or on complex processes. The systemic paradigm scarcely explored this dicotomy, which we want to inquire seeing the dimensions of interdisciplinarity and openness to the theme of simulation and its implications. Specific attention is focused on transversal metaphors connected to mnestic processes.
