Abstract
A series of annual events in the Museum of Youth Opposition in Berlin to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall. The event took place in the Galilaa Church which was renowned as a location for punks to oppose the GDR dictatorship. The event drew on the notion of sound, memory and opposition. The event utilise the musical sculpture, the Steel Cello as a form of metaphorical Iron Curtain. Its all encompassing sound and archaic form acted as a touchstone for the sense of passing time that the event marked. The documentation submitted covers events # 1(2014) and #3 (2017).
