Abstract
This paper investigates the distributions of grinding force, power consumption and heat flux along the tooth profile in precision form grinding of gears. The results from the computational model reasonably agree with those experimentally obtained. The grinding quality for form gear grinding is highly improved by integrating the model and the algorithms with grinding monitoring systems produced by an industry called Intelligent Grinding plc.
