    Abstract

This deliverable develops a) analytical framework on the relationship between knowledge intensive entrepreneurship (KIE) and innovation system by developing the concept of entrepreneurial propensity of innovation system, and b) methodology for assessment and measurement of knowledge intensive entrepreneurship at both industry and national level. Based on the notion of entrepreneurial propensity of innovation system we explore the nature of KIE as a largely distributed phenomenon, and provide guidelines on how to investigate the systemic properties of knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship at firm, sector and national levels.
