    Abstract

Improving performance of aircraft ground-handling operations has been previously discussed. However, proper allocation of workforce to such ground handling operations still needs more investigations. In this study, a mathematical optimisation model is developed using integer linear programming to identify the best route taken by workers & other resources when serving different aircraft sizes & flight types. The objective of the proposed model is to satisfy different ground handling operations requirements of all aircraft on ground in the shortest time possible.
