Abstract

Tetrahymena pyriformis GL populations (20,000 cells/ml and 50,000 cells/ml) were studied at various times after exposure to griseofulvin. Growth rates were significantly different between controls and treated samples 90 min after treatment. ATP levels decreased in treated samples after 45 min. No differencies were observed between controls and populations treated with acetone used to dissolve griseofulvin.
