    Abstract

    Laboratory based investigations examining physiological responses to hill walking in simulated conditions (e.g. hypoxia, hot and cold) would benefit from a preliminary exercise test enabling the estimation of relative submaximal workloads rather than only exercising subjects at predefined speeds
