Abstract

On the 16th anniversary of the 921 earthquake, there has been little reflection and review in the Taiwanese media, which is reminiscent of the 2015-2025 Urban Risk Index survey report jointly published by the British insurance organization Lloyd's and the University of Cambridge on September 3. The study selected 300 cities from more than 5,000 cities with more than 250,000 people around the world, and Taipei City was ranked as the world's most risky city in the next 10 years, with the high-risk categories of typhoon, earthquake, market collapse and Taiwan war. The possible economic loss is more than five. NT$4 trillion.
