Abstract

A new three-phase flow meter based around Coriolis mass flow metering, has been certified by GOST for upstream oil and gas applications in Russia. A key feature of the technology is a short response time (1s update), providing detailed information on the pattern of flow during the well test. The talk will provide an overview of the technology, and then show a range of well test flow profiles collected from Russia, illustrating the potential benefits of detailed flow information for reservoir management.
