    Abstract

This paper presents a case study in an area of great social and political concern, Derry/ Londonderry, in the Foyle District area in Northern Ireland, UK, with a view to gathering new insights and improved information sharing and processing of the general public’s confidence in policing services. We study the level of satisfaction and confidence in policing in the Derry~Londonderry region in collaboration with the Derry District Policing Partnership (DDPP). This study is part of the VoiceYourView (vYv) project which aims to develop new technology that allows the general public to express their perceptions of safety in public spaces wherever and whenever they want in real time. These comments will be used to improve the safety of public space designs. We develop a new decision support tool applicable to a wide range of activities wherever feedback on service delivery is important; to enhance business decisions, processes and activities in a customer focused way.
