Abstract
As Professor of painting at the RBSA Birmigham I was tasked with chairing the 2019 competition and exhibition. I invited painter Sara Shamma, artist Jonathan Waller and Presidnet of RBSA Robert Neil to join me on the selection panel.
Aims: To consider all submitted artworks through a digital submission process and make a pre-selection of artworks before deciding on the final selection for exhibition.

This event (output) relates to a published paper entitled: From Self-portrait to selfie:representational painting in the digital age. This paper was presented at TRAC The Representational ArtConference 2015 and published in the conference proceedings entitled 'As It Is'
