Abstract
The article reviews the applications of drones in humanitarian aid from the delivery of food and medicine to remote areas to image mapping before and following disasters and makes examples from recent crises. It also looks at the challenges of deploying drones and suggests recommendations to humanitarian organisations, governments, and private business to help drones achieve their full potential in humanitarian aid.
