Abstract

According to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, PhDs are needed to drive the knowledge economy (OECD, 2010). PhD enrolments continue to increase globally. however, numbers of PhD graduates are not evenly distributed and arguably do not align with local (national) demand.
