    Abstract

This work documents the development of a conjugate heat transfer solver, based on integrating an in-house computational fluid dynamics code with a heat conduction solver internally. A simplified method of interpolation using mapped solid/fluid areas was introduced for treating non-matching/overlapping meshes at interface. Examples of industrial conjugate heat transfer applications are Heat Exchangers, internal cooling in gas-turbine engines, nuclear reactors and computer components cooling system ...etc.
