Abstract
Este estudo pretende identificar as determinantes da satisfação dos espectadores de Basquetebol e comparar os motivos e a satisfação com os jogos de acordo com as características sociodemográficas. Recolheram-se 459 questionários em oito jogos da Liga de Clubes de Basquetebol e através de uma análise factorial identificou-se que a pertença à equipa, a família, o conhecimento do jogo, o drama, o escape, o interesse nos jogadores, as habilidades técnicas e o orgulho na comunidade são os motivos que explicam o comportamento de assistir aos jogos. Destes, apenas a pertença à equipa e a família têm impacto na satisfação, explicando uma parcela reduzida deste sentimento. A análise sociodemográfica indica diferenças significativas nos motivos e na satisfação mediante o género, habilitações literárias e proximidade geográfica.

Among those, only belonging to team and family were found to impact on satisfaction, in a significant though modest way. The demographics analysis reveals significant differences on motives and satisfaction according to gender, education level and geographical proximity.
